Grant And Impact Tracking Privacy Policy
GAItracking.com (this “Site”) is operated by Grant Management Institute, LLC (GMI). This Privacy Policy (this “Policy”) describes generally how GMI collects, uses, and transfers the personal information collected through this Site. Because privacy laws vary from state to state within the United States and from country to country around the world, this Policy may be supplemented or amended by state or country-specific disclosures (Privacy Notice(s). As used in this Policy and in any Privacy Notice, the term “personal information” means information that identifies you personally, alone, or in combination with other information available to GMI.
GMI values your personal information and maintaining your trust and confidence is one of our highest priorities. GMI respects your right to keep your personal information confidential and understands your desire to avoid unwanted solicitations.
Your Consent

If you do not consent to the collection transfer of your personal information as described in this Policy (and any Privacy Notices that apply to you), you may not use this Site.
Types of Information GMI Collects
GMI collects certain personal information about you or your organization – but only when that information is provided by you or is obtained by us with your authorization. GMI uses that information to prepare services for funders and grant recipients, including funding data, needs assessments, grant reports, and other forms of business intelligence and tracking services to you at your request.
A. Examples of sources from which GMI collects information include:
- interviews and phone calls

- QuickBooks® reports or other organizers of financial data
- Databases or Excel files
- Employee time-sheets and/or payroll data
B. Parties to Whom GMI Discloses Information
As a rule, GMI does not disclose personal information about our clients or former clients to anyone. However, to the extent permitted by law and any applicable state Code of Professional Conduct, certain nonpublic information about you may be disclosed in the following situations:
- To comply with a validly issued and enforceable subpoena or summons
- During a review of GMI’s practices under the authorization of a state or national authority
- In conjunction with a prospective purchase, sale, or merger of all or part of GMI’s limited liability company provided that GMI takes appropriate precautions (for example, through a written confidentiality agreement) so the prospective purchaser or merger partner does not disclose information obtained in the course of the review
- As a part of any actual or threatened legal proceedings or alternative dispute resolution proceedings either initiated by or against GMI, provided GMI discloses only information necessary to file, pursue, or defend against the lawsuit and take reasonable precautions to ensure that the information disclosed doesn’t become a matter of public record
- To provide information to affiliates of GMI and nonaffiliated third parties who perform services or functions in conjunction with GMI services, but only if GMI has a contractual agreement with that party, which prohibits them from disclosing or using the information other than for the purposes for which it was disclosed. (Examples of such disclosures include using an outside service bureau to process tax returns or engaging a records retention agency to store prior year records.)
C. Confidentiality and Security of Nonpublic Personal Information
Except as otherwise described in this notice, GMI restricts access to nonpublic personal information to employees of our firm and other parties who must use that information to provide services to your organization. Any right to further disclose and/or use the information is limited by the policies of GMI, applicable law, and nondisclosure agreements where appropriate. GMI also maintains physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards in compliance with applicable laws and regulations to guard your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, or premature destruction.
D. This Privacy Policy May Change
GMI reserves the right to update or modify this Policy and any Privacy Notice, at any time and without prior notice, by posting the revised version of the Policy or Privacy Notice on this Site. If we modify this Policy or any Privacy Notice, the modifications will only apply to the personal information we collect after we have posted the revised Policy or Privacy Notice on this Site.
For your convenience, when GMI modifies this Policy, GMI will post a notice informing users of the change for thirty (30) days on the home page of this Site.
E. Why GMI Collects Personal Information
GMI collects your personal information to allow convenient access to our services and to inform you about the latest updates, special offers, and events.
F. Your Choices and What Information Is Collected on this Site
GMI respects your right to make choices about the way it collects, uses, and transfers your personal information. When you access and use the GMI site, it may collect information about you in three ways:
Information You Knowingly and Voluntarily Provide
GMI collects the information you knowingly and voluntarily provide when you use GMI’s Internet site. For example, the information you provide when you order a GMI service, register for a course, participate in one of our surveys, or when you ask us a question or send us feedback. In many cases, this information will include your email address and other personal information. GMI uses this information for the purpose for which you provide it.
Additionally, GMI may use it for fraud prevention, market research, and sending related offers, improving our services. For GMI’s own historical and statistical data, it will remove all personally identifiable information and use only data such as your location, type of business, and product or service orders and dates.
Email Addresses
GMI collects your email address and other information when you order a GMI service, register for a course, or participate in a survey. GMI also uses it to confirm your purchase; deliver your contract, and to inform you of new services. You may “opt out” of receiving marketing email notices at any time by sending an email to LA@GAItracking.com or using an unsubscribe link on the notice.
Information Sent to Us by Your Web Browser
GMI, like other websites, gathers certain information automatically and stores it in log files. This information usually includes your Internet service provider’s IP address; the name of your operating system (such as Windows® or Macintosh®); and the name and version of your browser (such as Internet Explorer®, Chrome®, Safari® or Firefox®). The information received depends on the settings on your web browser. Such information doesn’t identify you personally, but the datum does help GMI improve its website site and make it more compatible with the technology used by Internet visitors.
Information Collected by Placing a “Cookie” on Your Computer
GMI may obtain information about you by installing a “tag” on your computer’s hard drive. This tag is known as a “cookie.” Each time you visit this Site, our server will recognize the cookie. By assigning your computer a unique identifier, GMI creates a database of your previous choices and preferences and in situations where GMI needs access to these choices or preferences again, GMI can retrieve it automatically, saving you time and effort.
For example, after you make your first purchase, if you decide to make another purchase, GMI will supply your preferred method of contact automatically, and you will only need to confirm it. GMI also uses cookies to collect information about the ways visitors use our sites– which pages they visit, which links they use, and how long they stay on each page. GMI analyzes this information (known as “clickstream data”) in statistical form to better understand our visitors’ interests and needs, and to gather demographic information about our visitors and GMI’s user base as a whole. This will help GMI identify trends, administer this Site, and improve the content and functionality of this Site.
Most cookies do not expire when you close your browser; they stay on your computer until you delete them. If you do not wish to use cookies, you may set your browser to reject cookies, or to alert you when a cookie is placed on your computer. Although you are not required to accept cookies when you visit this Site, you may not benefit from all the Site’s functionality if your browser rejects GMI cookies.
Sharing and Transferring Personal Information
GMI does not share your personal information with other business units. However, GMI may remove all the personally identifiable information and use the rest for historical, statistical or scientific purposes.
GMI may also share your personal information with companies hired to perform support services for us, such as web hosting or credit card processing. These third parties are required, by contract, to use the personal information we share with them only to perform services on our behalf and to treat your personal information as strictly confidential. To learn which third-party service providers we use, please contact us at LA@GAItracking.com.
In certain, limited circumstances we may share or transfer personal information to unrelated third parties. For example, we may provide personal information to a third party (i) at your request; (ii) to comply with a legal requirement or court order; (iii) to investigate a possible crime, such as identity theft; or (iv) in connection with the sale, purchase, merger, reorganization, liquidation or dissolution of GMI. If such an event occurs, GMI will take appropriate steps to protect your personal information.
While in our possession, GMI will store your personal information in GMI databases or databases maintained by our service providers. All GMI data stored in GMI databases fall under United States data protection laws, which may or may not provide as much protection as the data protection laws in force in your country. If you are in a country outside the United States, by using this Site you consent to the transfer of your personal information to the United States.
Security of Personal Information
Although GMI maintains reasonable safeguards to protect your personal information against unauthorized disclosure, misuse or alteration, GMI cannot guarantee the security of systems that are connected to the Internet nor can we guarantee the security of information transmitted over the Internet.

This Policy applies only to personal information collected through this Site. It does not apply to personal information collected on any other website operated by GMI, nor its affiliates, nor to personal information collected on third- party websites.
